Fashion Designer — Traditional & Ethnic Wear
Full-time · 2–5 years 2 openings On-site · Deziyre Design Studio, India
Design salwar suits, anarkalis, sharara sets, festive kurtas and occasion wear that respect Indian craft traditions while feeling modern. You'll own embroidery placement, dupatta styling and festive detailing.
What you'll do
- Develop festive and traditional collections with embroidery, prints and surface ornamentation
- Create embroidery layouts, placement sheets and colour references for karigars
- Coordinate strike-offs, swatches and approvals with embroidery/printing partners
- Develop original, production-ready festive designs each season
- Maintain design libraries for motifs, necklines, sleeves and borders
What we're looking for
- Fashion design qualification with 2+ years in ethnic/traditional women's wear
- Knowledge of chikankari, zari, gota, mirror, aari, schiffli and block printing
- Proficiency in Illustrator/Photoshop for placement sheets and CADs
- Awareness of festive calendars and regional preferences across India
Nice to have
- Experience with bridal-lite or occasion wear
- Textile design background
Compensation
Competitive with industry standards, based on experience and skill assessment. Performance incentives apply for production, quality and sales roles.
